Full Basket Belize Now Soliciting Grant Applications

Full Basket Belize is pleased to announce that we are opening the application process for their 2013 Community Grant Program to continue the tradition of supporting local community projects. Grants will be awarded to cover project costs of up to $1000 USD for projects that benefit Belizean communities in the areas of education, health (HIV/AIDS), and the environment.

Projects must meet the following criteria to be funded:

  • Projects must be community-based and implemented in Belize for the benefit of Belize and Belizeans focused on either education, health (HIV/AIDS), or the environment;
  • Applicants must be non-profit organizations, including Non-Governmental Organizations, Schools, and Communities;
  • Full Basket Belize funds cannot be used for lobbying, salary, subcontractor salary, or other benefits to individuals;
  • Projects must start and finish in the 2013 calendar year.

2012-2013 Scholarship Winners Announced!

International Friends of Belize (IFOB) is proud to announce the secondary school scholarship winners for the 2012-2013 school year. Scholarship recipients were selected by a committee of volunteers from the IFOB organization.

The organization would like to thank all students who applied for secondary school scholarships this year. Many deserving applications from throughout the country were received for new scholarships.

All awards are paid directly to the students’ school administrations and cover full or partial tuition, books, fees, and uniforms only. Each student must maintain a good attendance record and at least a 2.0 grade point average to retain his or her scholarship.
